Thanks for dropping by. I’m your host and, oddly, the guest of honor in this section of the Internet. My hope for this blog is to explore the ways in which Social Media and technology can be used to promote social justice, equality, and validate the inherent worth and dignity of every person.
I invite the world to join me. I love discussion and even debate. I do not enjoy arguments and pay little attention to condescension and derision.I love philosophy (yes, that is redundant) and religion. I am a Universalist, and while I tend to ignore mainstream visions of a personal God, I do believe that there is a source that we all spring from and are connected to.
So, a little about me, for reference:
Yes, Earthman is my given name, and the family name going back several generations. We don’t know the origin, but I know that it has spread across the American deep south.
I am a partner to my fiance, who also helps out here as part-time editor. I am the biological father of 2 girls, and have taken another little girl and 2 sons as my own. I am the son of 4 parents, 2 of which I’ve never known; 1 of whom I may only have thought I knew.
I am trying to make my life my own. I am trying to make my self into someone I can be comfortable being and someone my children can be proud of. I am trying to “be the change”, because we need change in order to create the world our children deserve.
And I am always looking for traveling companions.
